Respite Services

Short Stays in Respite Centre

Children stay overnight or for a few days with a maximum of two weeks at the respite centre. This allows families to take a break or go on holiday.

Holiday Assistance and Respite Holidays

Support for families to take holidays together, or for children to go on supervised holidays or trips away from home.

Emergency Respite Care

Short-term care provided at short notice in emergencies, such as illness or crisis in the family.

Specialist Respite for Complex Needs

Services tailored for children with specific medical, behavioural, or developmental needs, such as autism, learning disabilities, or complex health conditions.

Sitting Services

A trained volunteer or paid worker spends time with the child for a few hours, allowing the carer to take a break or attend to other responsibilities.

Overnight Care (Waking Nights or Sleep-ins)

A carer stays overnight in the family home or at the respite centre to provide care while the main carer rests.

Community-Based Activities

Support workers take children out into the community for activities, such as going to the park, attending clubs, or participating in social events.

Day Care Centre

Children attend a centre during the day to take part in activities, socialise, and receive care. The centre will provide structured activities, play, and learning opportunities.
